Who is Martin Gschlacht?
Gschlacht Martin (* 1969 in Vienna ) is an Austrian cameraman and film production company co-founder of the Vienna coop99 .
Martin Gschlacht studied business administration at the Vienna University of Economics before the camera assistant course at the Computer Graphics College and Research Institute studied in Vienna and as a cinematographer for music videos, short films and commercials became active. [1] He then studied cinematography and production at the Vienna Film Academy , where he 1996 as Mag art. finished. 1998 [1] he founded together with Valentin Hitz and Wogrolly Mark Martin Gschlacht the film production, [2] with whom she produced several short films. In 1999 he founded with the directors Barbara Albert , Antonin Svoboda and Jessica Hausner , who worked together already at the Vienna Film Academy and are well known, [3] , the Vienna-based film production company coop99 . He is still active but also on other film projects. Since 2008 he teaches at the Vienna film college.
In the competition of the Venice International Film Festival 2009 ran the same two films in which Gschlacht for the camera work was responsible: Shirin Neshat Women Without Men and Jessica Hausner's Lourdes.
In 2009, Martin has Gschlacht together with other filmmakers, the Austrian Academy of the Austrian film founded and on whose board he sits.
