Mary West is a self made billionaire who founded West Corp. with her husband Gary. She started her career as a secretary of Falstaff Brewing. Then she and Gary got married in 1968 and founded WATS telemarketing in 1978. They sold that first company two years later. Next she founded West Telemarketing in 1986. This company went public in 1986. Now West Corp is private once again making the change in 2006. The West received 1.6 Billion for the deal and 20% of the Company.
