Who is Matt McBride?
Matthew Hagerty "Matt" McBride is a utility player in the Colorado Rockies organization.
He was drafted by the Cleveland Indians in the second round of the 2006 Amateur Draft out of Lehigh University. Although he was drafted as a catcher, he has also spent considerable time at first base and in the outfield. In July 2011, he was traded from Cleveland to the Rockies with Drew Pomeranz, Alex White, and Joe Gardner for Ubaldo Jiménez.
