Who is Mike Thorne?

Mike Thorne is a British record producer. He started playing piano at age of 10. In late 60s he worked as a tape operator in London with Deep Purple and many others. Later he worked as a music journalist and in late 70s as record producer. He produced many albums by musicians of various genres as rock, punk, post-punk, jazz fusion or pop such as Roger Daltrey, John Cale, Bronski Beat, Soft Cell, Nina Hagen, Laurie Anderson and Soft Machine, as well as the seminal first three records by Wire.
