Nhật Sơn, real name Vũ Minh Sơn, Ho Chi Minh City Vietnam, August 29, 1981 - Ho Chi Minh City Vietnam, September 14, 2013. He was the son of Nghệ sĩ Minh Cảnh and Nghệ sĩ Kiều My.

By age six, he had started performing, singing traditional Vietnamese Cải lương music and Vietnamese pop songs as well under the stage name Cảnh Sơn. He travelled with a group of famous singers and comedians: Siu Black, Thanh Lam, Quang Linh, Minh Thuận, Duy Ngọc, Duy Phương, Hương Loan, Ngọc Thành and his sister Kiều Nhi, and become well-known with the songs ‘Lòng mẹ’ and ‘Còn thương rau đắng mọc sau hè’.

At the age of 14 he had to stop singing for a while, because his voice started changing.

At age 19, he made his comeback under his new stage name Nhật Sơn. Not singing traditional anymore, but Vietnamese POP-music.

At the end of 2006 he recorded his first album ‘Tôi vẫn hát’, which was released in January 2007.

The composers were Nguyễn Nhất Huy and Hoài An; arrangements: Lý Huỳnh Long; producer: Winfried Povel from The Netherlands.

From 3 of the 10 songs were made video clips by directors Đoàn Minh Tuấn and Lâm Lê Dũng.

In the Live-show ‘Tôi vẫn hát’ in Nhà Thi Đấu Nguyễn Du in HCMC he presented himself again to the audience. Director of the show: Lâm Lê Dũng.

It was recorded on tape and broadcast on TV. A few months later the DVD of that show was released.
