Who is Nicolas Makelberge?

Nicolas Makelberge born in 1976 is a Swedish musician and producer most known for his 2006 album "Dying in Africa", a collaboration with vocalist Johan Tuvesson form Karl x Johan. In 2014, eight years after the making, the Guardian shortlists the single "Dying in Africa" as one of 10 best dance tracks out of Scandinavia. After the release of the four song EP "Born from the sun" in late 2013, NY lifestyle magazine The Fader refers to Nicolas as being "one of the most underrated producers in the world".

In 2010, the followup record to Dying in Africa, The Unforgettable Planet, is mostly an instrumental album significantly influenced by French geologist and philosopher Teilhard de Chardin and Nicolas' three year stay at a Catholic university in Portugal. The album was once again nominated at Manifestgalan in Sweden.

In 2006, Nicolas Makelberge's album Dying in Africa was nominated for the P3 Guld and Manifestgalan in the category of pop music.

Nicolas Makelberge previously released records on Rico and is now on the record label Emotion.
