Who was Paul Bernard Dilworth?
Paul Bernard Dilworth was an influential Canadian aeronautical engineer and the founder of Dilworth Secord and Meagher Associates Ltd.
As an employee of the National Research Council in Ottawa, Dilworth was an executive member of the team involved in Canada's first jet engine tests in 1943, serving as manager of the cold-weather test station Turbo Research Ltd. from September 1944 until May 1946. He became the chief engineer in the Gas Turbine Division of Orenda Engines when Turbo Research Ltd. was sold. He worked on the engine design of the Avro CF-100 for Orenda. In 1952, he created Paul Dilworth & Company, an engineering consulting firm of international scale.
