Who was Peter Anson?
Peter Frederick Anson was a notable English writer on religious, architectural, and maritime topics. He was born in Southsea and converted to Roman Catholicism on 5 March 1913 as a member of the Anglican Benedictine monastery on Caldey island under Aelred Carlyle.
Educated at Wixenford School until the age of fourteen he was the author of dozens of books, he was an accomplished artist and graphic designer.
