Who was Ray Hoffman?

Raymond Lamont Hoffman was a third baseman who played briefly for the Washington Senators during the 1942 season. Listed at 6 ft 0 in, 175 lb., Hoffman batted left-handed and threw right-handed. He was born in Detroit, Michigan.

In his one-season career, Hoffman was a .053 hitter with two runs and two RBI in seven games. He did not hit extra bases.

Hoffman died in Milton, Georgia, at the age of 90.
