Who was Mehmed Reshid?

Dr. Mehmed Reshid was the governor of the Diyarbekir vilayet of the Ottoman Empire during World War I. He is known for organizing the wartime destruction of the Armenian, Assyrian and Greek communities of Diyarbekir. He was known as the "butcher of Diyarbakir".
