Who is Ricky Hatton?
Richard John "Ricky" Hatton, MBE is an English former professional boxer who is also a boxing promoter.
He is a former WBA, IBF, IBO and The Ring Light Welterweight Champion, and WBA Welterweight Champion. After losing his last fight to Manny Pacquiao, Hatton put his career on a long hiatus, with rumours of a comeback circulating the media since. However, on 7 July 2011, Hatton announced his retirement from boxing. On 14 September 2012, more than three years after his last fight, Hatton confirmed his comeback to professional boxing; after losing his first match on 24 November 2012, he announced his final retirement.
