Who is Tim Federle?

Tim Federle is an American writer and former Broadway dancer.

Federle's debut novel for children, Better Nate Than Ever, which was about a small-town child who crashes an audition for E.T.: The Musical, was named a New York Times Notable Book of 2013, a Slate Favorite Book of 2013, an Amazon Best Book of 2013, and a Publishers Weekly Best Book of 2013. Five, Six, Seven, Nate!, the sequel to Better Nate Than Ever, was named an Amazon Best Book of the Month and received starred reviews from Publishers Weekly, and Kirkus.

Federle's novelty cocktail guide, Tequila Mockingbird: Cocktails with a Literary Twist, won the Goodreads Cookbook of the Year award. His picture book, Tommy Can't Stop!, which was about a rambunctious little boy who finally gets out of trouble when he discovers tap dance class, will be published by Disney in 2015. He is currently at work on a new series of books for Simon & Schuster publishing, tentatively entitled Theater Kid Chronicles.
