Who was Vasilijs Stepanovs?
Vasilijs Stepanovs was a Latvian weightlifter. In the 1956 Summer Olympics, he won the silver medal in the 82.5 kg weight category, with the total result of 427.5 kg. He had also won gold medal in the World Championships in 1955 and gold medal in the European Championships 1955.
