Who was Vic Sears?
Victor Wilson Sears was an American football offensive lineman in the National Football League for the Philadelphia Eagles. He played college football at Oregon State University and was drafted in the fifth round of the 1941 NFL Draft by the Pittsburgh Steelers. Sears is a member of the NFL's 1940s All-Decade Team. Sears was also a member of the "Steagles", a team that was the result of a temporary merger between the Eagles and Steelers due to the league-wide manning shortages in 1943 brought on by World War II.
