Who is Victor Goryunov?
Victor V. Goryunov is a Russian mathematician working in geometry and topology. In particular he works in singularity theory, Vassiliev type invariants of plane curves, and Legendrian knots. He completed his PhD thesis, titled "Surface projection singularities", at Moscow's Lomonosov State University in 1981. As of 2009 he was a professor of mathematics at the University of Liverpool. He is an editorial advisor of the journal Proceedings of the London Mathematical Society.
