Who is Vladimir Maksimov?
Vladimir Salmanovich Maksimov is a former Soviet/Russian handball player. After his retirement as an active field player, he was chosen as a coach for the national team, with which he won all three major titles in handball. He is, with Claude Onesta for France, the only coach for a national handball team to have obtained these three titles.
As an active player, he was on the team who competed in the 1972 Summer Olympics and in the 1976 Summer Olympics.
