Who is William Dutton?

William Christian Dutton has qualified for a spot on the 2014 Canadian Olympic team, is a member of the Canadian World Cup team, and a former member of the Canadian Long Track speed skating development team. Dutton finished third in the 2014 500m Canadian Olympic trials and fourth in the 1000 qualifying him to skate for Canada in both distances. He is a Saskatchewan skater whose home club is the Humboldt Speed Skating Club. He was born 28/11/1989 in Regina.

For the 2004 Canadian Long Track Mass Start Speed Skating Championships Dutton received the Bronze in the 1500m.

Dutton participated in speed skating at the 2007 Canada WinterGames in Whitehorse winning a Bronze medal in the 100 meter sprint.

In the 2009 Canadian Junior Championship held at the Richmond Olympic Oval during February 2009, Dutton placed third in the combined 500 and second in the 1000 meter sprints.

Dutton was a member of the 2009 Canadian Junior Team and skated at the Championships in Zakopane Poland placing 7th overall in the combined 500. In 2009 Dutton skated the third fastest junior 500 time in the world. In 2007 he skated in the Whitehorse Canada games winning bronze in the men's 100 meter.
