Who is Darren Scott?
Darren Anthony Scott is an English cricketer. Scott is a left-handed batsman who bowls right-arm off break. He was born at Canterbury, Kent.
Scott made his first-class debut for Kent against Oxford University in 1998. His County Championship debut came in the following match against Warwickshire. From 1998 to 2000, he represented Kent in 8 first-class matches, the last of which came against Leicestershire. In his 8 first-class matches, he scored 46 runs at a batting average of 23.00, with a high score 17*. In the field he took 3 catches. With the ball he took 13 wickets at a bowling average of 47.15, with best figures of 4/151. It was for Kent that he made his debut in List A cricket against Hampshire in 1999. From 1999 to 2000, he played for Kent in 4 List A matches, the last of which came against Northamptonshire. In his 4 List A matches for the county, he scored 27 runs in his only batting innings, while taking a single catch in the field. With the ball he took 5 wickets at an average of 23.60, with best figures of 3/21.
In 2002, Scott represented the Kent Cricket Board in a single List A match against Hampshire in the 2002 Cheltenham & Gloucester Trophy. During this match he scored 7 runs and took a single wicket with figures of 1/40.
