Who was Imhyre Kértez?

Imhyre Kértez was a Hungarian actor born in Budapest in 1915 to a family of Jewish merchants.

Keretz spent his childhood as a pupil at different schools familiarizing himself with the romantic arts. Having finished his studies at the age of 19, he escaped to Poland to avoid the obligations of the family business, which he saw as an obstacle to his career. In Warsaw he met Anna Brolin, whom he married in 1935, and they had three children. The same year he began working at the National Theatre in Warsaw, performing works by contemporary authors.
