Who is Jerry Sands?
Gerald Robert "Jerry" Sands, is an American professional baseball outfielder and first baseman for the Tampa Bay Rays. He was originally drafted by the Los Angeles Dodgers in the 25th round of the 2008 MLB Draft out of Catawba College, the same college where former MLB All-Star, Johnny Temple attended. Sands grew up in Smithfield, North Carolina and is a graduate of Smithfield-Selma High School.
