Who is Joël A. Robichaud?

Joël A. Robichaud is a French-Canadian film director, researcher, script-writer and producer from the east coast of Canada. He began his studies in Moncton, New Brunswick before continuing his training in Toronto and later in Quebec. In 1999 Robichaud won 'Best Super 8 Competition' at the 'FICFA' awards, which celebrates excellence in French Canadian Cinema and would later go on to get a further nomination for Best Film at the 'FICFA' awards 2010 for his documentary film Du Stir En Acadie.

To date, Robichaud has worked on more than 17 television series and films for TVOntario, SCO, ART TV, Télé-Québec and Radio Canada.

Robichaud is also a firm supporter and activist for the prevention and treatment of those affected by Aids and has been an active participant in the Annual Moncton Aids Walk for Life, in association with Scotia Bank, coming in 1st place in 2010 raising the most money for the charity.
