Who is Leandro Nerefuh?
Leandro Nerefuh is a Brazilian artist working with narratives that have to do with ideas of State, modes of government, historical protagonism, emancipatory struggles and allegory. His most notable works to date are the Banana Archive and 'The Oath of Monte Sacro, a pocket-epic', for which he won the 2010 Brasil Arte Contemporânea Award from the São Paulo Biennial Foundation.
