Who is Alex McKendry?
Alex McKendry is a Canadian former professional ice hockey player who played 46 games in the National Hockey League for the New York Islanders and Calgary Flames as part of a seven-year career that was spent primarily in the Central Hockey League. He was a first round selection of the Islanders, taken 14th overall in the 1976 NHL Amateur Draft. He appeared in six playoff games in the Islanders' Stanley Cup championship season of 1979–80. McKendry's most significant time in the NHL came in 1980–81 when he appeared in 36 games for the Flames.
