Who is Carv Moore?

In his role as Senior Vice President of Sun's Global Software Practice,

Carv Moore is responsible for driving worldwide sales of Sun's software

products. Under Moore's leadership, the Software Practice aligns with

the Software Product Group to influence a portfolio of products and

services that are responsive to our customers' needs. Committed to

excellence and delivering results, Moore and his team focus on flawless

execution across the entire Software Practice.With

more than 25 years of senior management experience, Moore came to Sun

as part of the SeeBeyond acquisition in August 2005 where he was

President and Chief Operating Officer. Prior to joining SeeBeyond,

Moore served as President of Novell Americas, where he led all aspects

of business operations. Before joining Novell, he was President, North

America, for Cambridge Technology Partners which was later acquired by

Novell. Prior to that, he was the President and COO of Excell Data

Corporation, which was acquired by Cambridge in 1998.Moore's

business experience in the information systems industry also includes a

variety of sales, management and executive positions with IBM

Corporation and Digital Equipment Corporation. In addition to his

business expertise, Moore is the Vice Chair of the 2007 Washington

Software Association (WSA) Board of Directors. Moore earned a Bachelor

of Arts degree in English from the University of California, Los

Angeles.Moore currently resides in Seattle, Washington with his wife Elynne and 3 children.
