Who was Constant Fornerod?
Constant Fornerod was a Swiss politician, originally from Avenches, and member of the Swiss Federal Council.
He was elected to the Federal Council on July 11, 1855, as a representant for Vaud, and handed over office on October 31, 1867. He was affiliated with the Free Democratic Party.
During his time in office he held the following departments:
Department of Trade and Customs
Political Department as President of the Confederation
Department of Trade and Customs
Department of Finance
Military Department
Political Department as President of the Confederation
