Who was George London?
George London was an English nurseryman and garden designer. He aspired to the baroque style and worked on the gardens at Hampton Court, Melbourne Hall and Wimpole Hall. He was a founding partner in the famed Brompton Park Nursery in 1681. Henry Wise was his apprentice and then partner in their highly successful business at Brompton Park.
George London's birth date is not certain but it was probably about 1640.
