Greg Garcia was assistant secretary for cyber-security and telecommunications under the United States Department of Homeland Security from 2006 to 2008. He was also on the staff of the House Science Subcommittee on Research, head of 3Com Corp's Washington office and vice president of Information Security for the Information Technology Association of America industry trade and lobbying group.
