Who is Leonid Kolumbet?
Leonid Kolumbet was a Soviet cyclist.
He was Jewish, and was born in Horenychi, Kiev, Ukraine. His brother is Olympian Mykola Kolumbet. He rode with Spartak Kyiv, in Kiev in Ukraine.
He won a bronze medal at the 1960 Olympics in Rome in the 4,000 meter team pursuit.
He won the USSR National Championship, Road, Amateurs, in 1953 and 1954, and came in third in 1956. He also came in third in 1956 in the General Classification Závod Míru. In 1962 and 1963, he came in third in the World Championship, Track, Team Pursuit, Amateurs.
