Who was Nicolae Martinescu?
Nicolae Martinescu was a Romanian wrestler and Olympic Champion in Greco-Roman wrestling.
At the 1972 Summer Olympics in Munich Martinescu received a gold medal in Greco-Roman wrestling in the heavyweight class. He was later awarded the title of Merited Master of Sport of the USSR.
