Mr. Norman Metcalfe has served as Director of Tejon Ranch Corp since 1998. Mr. Metcalfe has an history and background in real estate development and homebuilding. He previously was Vice Chairman and Chief Financial Officer of The Irvine Company, one of the nation’s real estate and community development companies. Prior to the Irvine Company, Mr. Metcalfe spent over 20 years in various real estate, corporate finance and investment positions with the Kaufman and Broad/SunAmerica family of companies. These positions included President and Chief Investment Officer of SunAmerica Investments and Chief Financial Officer of Kaufman and Broad Home Corporation (currently known as KB Homes). Mr. Metcalfe is a director of The Ryland Group having served since 2000, and previously served as a director of Building Materials Holding Corp from 2005 until 2009. Mr. Metcalfe received a B.S. and an M.B.A. from the University of Washington. The Company's Board believes Mr. Metcalfe’s financial experience, understanding of capital structure within the real estate industry, and experience in publicly held companies, make him qualified to serve as a director.
