Who is Paul Koring?

Paul Koring a Canadian journalist and foreign correspondent for The Globe and Mail. He is currently posted to the Washington Bureau as the paper's foreign affairs and international security correspondent.

In 2008, Koring and Graeme Smith, another Globe and Mail correspondent won the 2007 Michener Award for a series of articles detailing the torture and abuse of Afghan detainees captured by Canadian Forces in Afghanistan and transferred to Afghan security forces. The stories forced the Canadian government to repeatedly change and enhance its detainee transfer policy.

Koring is married to Kathryn Davidov, a senior television executive with National Geographic.

They have two children; Nell and Ben.
