Who is Pietro Afesa?
Giovanni De Gregorio, known as Pietrafesa or Pietro Afesa was an Italian painter of the Baroque period, active in and around Naples. He was also called della Basilicata after his town of birth. He painted for churches and convents in Naples. He painted an altar-piece of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary for the chapel of the convent of Marsico Nuovo.
