Who is Scott W. Stucky?

Scott W. Stucky is a federal Article I appeals court judge, appointed to the United States Court of Appeals for the Armed Forces in December 2006.

Judge Stucky graduated from Wichita State University and Harvard Law School. He served as an Air Force judge advocate on active duty from 1973 to 1978. He was legislative counsel and principal legislative counsel to the Department of the Air Force from 1983 to 1996. From 1996 to 2006, he served as general counsel and minority counsel to the Senate Committee on Armed Services. He was appointed to the Court by President George W. Bush on December 20, 2006. Judge Stucky is a retired colonel in the Air Force Reserve.
