Who is Stig Sollander?
Stig Oskar Sollander is a Swedish alpine skier who competed in the 1948, 1952 and 1956 Winter Olympics.
He was born in Östersund and is the father of Lotta Sollander.
In 1948 he finished 40th in the Olympic downhill event. He also participated in the combined competition but did not finish after being eliminated in the slalom.
Four years later he finished fifth in the 1952 Olympic slalom event and sixth in the giant slalom competition.
At the 1956 Games he won the bronze medal in the slalom event. In the downhill competition he finished 10th and in the giant slalom contest he finished 16th.
