Who is Tom Reynolds?

Tom Reynolds, the brother of three times Brownlow Medal winner Dick Reynolds and cousin of Richmond champion player and coach Max Oppy, was an Australian rules footballer who played with Essendon in the VFL.

Reynolds was a forward and passed 50 goals in a season on 4 occasions, topping Essendon's goalkicking each time.

His best effort was a tally of 71 goals in 1939 which included a haul of 10 in a game against Hawthorn.

His end of season tally was a club record until passed by John Coleman a decade later.
