Babar Ahmad, is a British citizen and a Muslim of Pakistani descent, who is currently in legal detention in the United States of America. Following extradition from Britain, he pleaded guilty to "conspiracy and providing material to support to terrorism". He had previously fought an eight-year legal battle, from gaol, to be tried in the UK.
