Who is Dahlan Iskan?
Dahlan Iskan is the former CEO and founder of Indonesian newspaper publisher, Jawa Pos Group. He was the CEO of Indonesia's State Electricity Company, from December 23, 2009 to October, 2011. Currently he is Indonesia's Minister for State-owned enterprises.
Dahlan is known for his unorthodox, often personalised, approach to solving internal bureaucratic problems and inefficiencies within stated-owned enterprises. Over time, he has come to been seen as a somewhat controversial figure and his style as a minister has attracted criticism from members of the Indonesian parliament. He has responded vigorously to criticisms from parliamentarians by threatening to expose details of payments allegedly made by SOEs in order to be able to meet MPs in parliamentary commission hearings.He also support the development of enviromentally friedndly car,where he often test drive himself.Although he crashed one of the car when he test trive the car.
