Who is Walter K. Lew?
Walter K. Lew is a Korean American poet and scholar. He teaches in creative writing at the University of Miami. He is the author of the award winning book: Treadwinds: poems and intermedia texts.
Lew's translations and scholarship on Korean and Asian American literature have been widely anthologized and he was the first U.S. artist to revive the art of movietelling, beginning in 1982. Documentaries and news stories produced by Lew have been broadcast on CBS News, PBS, British ITV, and NHK-Japan, among other networks.
