Who was Edgar Wrightington?
Edgar Newcomb Wrightington was an All-American football player and coach. He played as a back for the Harvard University football team and was selected for the All-American team in 1895. He served as Harvard's football coach in 1904. Wrightington later became a successful banker and oil and gas company executive. He served in various executive positions with Boston Consolidated Gas Cos., the New England Fuel and Transportation Co., and Beacon Oil Co.
