Howard Franklin is an American screenwriter and film director, most well known for the 1990 film Quick Change, his collaboration with Bill Murray. His other films include The Public Eye, about a 1940s tabloid photographer modeled on Weegee and starring Joe Pesci; and The Name of the Rose starring Sean Connery.
