Who is Khavn De La Cruz?
Khavn De La Cruz, a.k.a.KHAVN is a Filipino poet, singer, songwriter, pianist, and filmmaker. Considered the father of Philippine digital filmmaking, he has made 32 features and more than a hundred short films since 1994. He is the founder and president of Kamias Road, and the festival director of .MOV International Film, Music, and Literature Festival.
Khavn's latest film Mondomanila, co-produced with the German company, Rapid Eye Movies, premiered at the 41st International Film Festival Rotterdam in January 2012. A rough cut of the film, also called Mondomanila, won Khavn Best Director at the Cinemanila International Film Festival in 2010. His short film, Ruined Heart! Another Love Story Between a Criminal and a Whore, competed at the 62nd Berlin International Film Festival in February 2012.
