Who is Mr. probz?
Dennis Princewell Stehr, better known as Mr. Probz, is a Dutch hip hop artist, songwriter and producer of Danish and Antillean descent. He is known for his raps, songs and choruses in both Dutch and English.
He is known for the songs "Drivin'", "Who Are You" and "Get My Props", songs in Dutch and collaborations with hip hop artists in the United States. He is considered an independent artist.
He was active from a young age, and started with graffiti and wrote lyrics about his every day experiences as an inner city youth. On August 6, 2010, Mr. Probz was shot down in Amsterdam. Half a year after the incident, he had a Dutch hit song "Meisje luister" in collaboration with Kleine Viezerik. It became a #1 hit at the FunX Hip Hop Chart. In 2010 Mr. Probz was nominated for a BNN/State Award in the category "Best Artist". He was the first unsigned artist to get this nomination in the award show's history.
In his career Mr. Probz has recorded and worked closely with artists like Alchemist, Joell Ortiz, Joe Budden, Scott Storch, Yukmouth, Grafh, Raekwon, Royce da 5'9" and Giorgio Tuinfort, among many others.
On 16 September 2013, Mr. Probz released his debut album The Treatment for free through SoundCloud. The album does not feature his recent chart topping single "Waves".
