Who was William P. Edmunds?
William Philip Edmunds was an American football player, coach of football and basketball, college athletics administrator, and medical doctor. He played college football at the University of Michigan from 1908 to 1910. He was the head football coach at West Virginia University, Washington University in St. Louis, and the University of Vermont, compiling a career college football coach record of 19–22–2. Edmunds was also the head basketball coach at Washington University for on season in 1913–14, tallying a mark of 7–6.
