Who was William Nevill, 4th Earl of Abergavenny?
William Nevill, 4th Earl of Abergavenny was a British peer. The son of Henry Nevill, 2nd Earl of Abergavenny, he succeeded to the earldom upon the death of his brother, who had died without issue.
The Hon. William Nevill was educated at Uckfield School and Magdalene College, Cambridge.
He married Caroline Leeke on 7 September 1824, and they had the following children:
William Nevill, 1st Marquess of Abergavenny, 5th Earl of Abergavenny
Lady Caroline Emily Nevill, an early photographer
Lady Henrietta Augusta Nevill
Lady Isabel Mary Frances Nevill
Hon Ralph Pelham Nevill
A clergyman, he was Vicar of Frant, Sussex, Rector of Birling, Kent, and Chaplain to King William IV.
